- A 100m x 50m two storey steel framed building housing an eight lane competition pool and training pool with movable floor, viewing gallery, changing facilities, squash courts, multi use sports hall, fitness gymnasium and three further multi purpose gymnasium areas
- The foundations were in situ concrete groundbeams supported on piles. The superstructure was a braced steel frame with composite metal deck floors.
- External works consisted of extensive car parking situated within a flood plain, together with the associated surface water drainage to meet Environmental Agency requirements
- ABA was also responsible for the access road to Highway Authority requirements.
